New Delhi: Gautam Adani is back in the list of world’s top 20 richest people after Adani Group shares surged. According to Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Adani is now the 19th richest person in the world with a net worth of $66.7 billion. .
Adani’s wealth jumped by more than $6 billion after the rise in shares of Adani Group. With the rally continuing for the second day, most of the Adani Group companies were in the green on Wednesday. This happened because the Supreme Court delayed its decision to investigate the group based on claims of stock manipulation and fraud committed by the US-based short-seller, said Vaibhav Vidwani, research analyst at Bonanza Portfolio.
Adani is the second richest Indian after Mukesh Ambani, who is ranked 13th in the list, with an estimated net worth of $89.5 billion.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Elon Musk is the richest person with a net worth of $228 billion, followed by Jeff Bezos ($171 billion), Bernard Arnault ($167 billion) and Bill Gates ($134 billion).
