Ginger is getting more expensive than tomato in these cities

But the sudden spurt in the prices of most tomatoes has troubled the people. Tomato, which was available at Rs 20 to 40 per kg, is now being sold at Rs 150 to 200 per kg. At the same time, in many states its price is between 100 to 150 rupees per kg. But ginger has become costlier than tomato. Its price is more than that of tomatoes in almost all the states.
The price of all green vegetables is on fire in Patna, the capital of Bihar. Here tomatoes are being sold at Rs 120 to 140 per kg. At the same time, its price is Rs 100 per kg in other cities and towns of the state as well. But ginger has become costlier than tomato in Bihar. The price of one kg of the other is 240 to 250 rupees in Patna. That is, the price of ginger in Patna is twice that of tomato.
Ginger is costliest in Karnataka
Similarly, there has been a bumper jump in the prices of ginger in Karnataka. Here the price of one kg of ginger has gone up to Rs 400. It is being said that for the first time in the last decade, ginger has become so expensive in Kartanak. The situation of inflation is such that now the theft of ginger from the fields has also started. However, tomato is cheaper than ginger in Karnataka. The price of tomato in the capital Bengaluru is between 130 to 150 rupees.
120 kg tomato in delhi
Similarly, in the national capital Delhi too, ginger is costlier than tomato. Here, a week ago, tomato had crossed Rs 200 per kg in the public market located in Pandav Nagar. In many places, the price of one kg of tomatoes had gone up to Rs 250. But now the prices have come down a bit. Tomatoes are now being sold at Rs 100 to 120 per kg in Pandav Nagar. But ginger is being sold in the retail market at Rs 240 to 250 per kg. The special thing is that a week ago ginger had become Rs 400 a kg in Delhi.
220 kg ginger in kolkata
In Uttar Pradesh, the state with the largest population of the country, people are also worried about inflation. Tomatoes were sold at Rs 200 a kg on Friday in the capital Lucknow. While the rate of tomato in the retail market is Rs 180 per kg. Whereas, ginger is very expensive. The cost of one kg of ginger in Lucknow is Rs 300. If we talk about West Bengal, the rate of tomato in its capital Kolkata was recorded at Rs 140 per kg on Friday, while ginger is Rs 220 per kg. Means here also ginger is almost twice as expensive as tomato.
