Girl beaten brutally for not knowing English, teacher turned into beast

Betul: A class 4 student at Betul Public School was beaten up by the teacher because she could not read English. The teacher pulled the girl’s head, due to which her hair got uprooted. The family of the 9-year-old girl lodged the complaint at a public hearing on Tuesday. The officials assured action.

The school in question is Hadley Bazar Primary School of Amla Block. The girl’s father said in the complaint, “About 15 days ago, Purnima Sahu asked the girl to read a book in English. “She couldn’t read. The woman pulled his hair causing it to fall out. When we went to school, the teacher started saying that she did not hit the girl.
Students studying with the girl said that they beat up the teacher. When we protested, the school authorities demanded a compromise. When the villagers told about the public hearing, they came here to complain.

At the same time, accused teacher Purnima Sahu claims that she did not beat any child.

The officer said, “The teacher committed inhumanity.”

Officials said the way the teacher attacked the student was inhuman. Sanjeev Srivastava, DPC of Jan Shiksha Kendra, said, “The girl was also talked to.” By sending the order, action will be taken as per rules.
