Punjab: Muktsar district police on Wednesday claimed to have seized a vehicle carrying 27 quintals of poppy husk from Jharkhand and arrested two persons in this connection. These persons had pasted ‘On Army Duty’ sticker on their vehicle to evade checking at police check posts.” “When our team stopped the vehicle near Aulakh village, the occupants told us that they were carrying ration for the army. During the search, 90 bags containing 27 quintals of poppy husk were found,” he said. Those arrested include Maninder Singh of Daanewala village and Akashdeep Singh of Gidderbaha town.
