Girl student’s body found hanging after celebrating her birthday, mother’s boyfriend accused of murder
Gopalganj: The dead body of a 15-year-old girl student was found hanging after celebrating her birthday in the Nagar police station area of Gopalganj district of Bihar. Police recovered the body on Thursday. According to the police, the dead body of his daughter Afsana Khatoon (15) has been recovered from the room of the house of Sarfuddin Alam, resident of Sadhu Chowk Hanumangarhi locality of Nagar police station area.
The deceased was a class 9 student of SS Girls Higher Secondary School. Sarfuddin is a resident of Barauli police station area and lives in a rented house here. It is said that Wednesday was the birthday of deceased student Afsana Khatoon, she had celebrated her birthday by cutting a cake at home in the night. After this, his body was recovered on Thursday.
The relatives of the deceased are accusing her mother’s boyfriend of murdering her and hanging the body. Family members say that the deceased’s mother’s boyfriend Pankaj Kumar was also present at the birthday party. On Thursday morning the family members informed the police of the city police station. After getting videography done, the police sent the body to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
Gopalganj Deputy Superintendent of Police (Sadar) Pranjal Tripathi said that the post-mortem of the body has been conducted by the Medical Board. The cause of death will be known only after the post mortem report comes. After receiving a written complaint from the family members, a preliminary inquiry will be registered and further action will be taken. Police are investigating both murder and suicide aspects.
