According to media reports, Ulema said that burqa should not be shown as an item for fashion display. After this objection of Jamiat-e-Ulema, the girl students also expressed their views. She told that since she could not participate in the kind of fashion shows where short dresses were worn, she wanted to do something for the women of the Muslim community.
Dr. Manoj, teacher of Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar, supported this initiative of the students. She said hijab or burqa can boost self-confidence among Muslim women and there are increasing fashion opportunities related to these garments globally. He said, they are very hardworking students. One of them thought that they should do something creative for Muslim women and show that hijab can also be fashionable. However, Jamiat-e-Ulema district convenor Maulana Mukarram Qasmi expressed strong disapproval, saying that the burqa is not an object of fashion display and such an act targets a specific religion, potentially hurting the sentiments of the Muslim community. Is. He warned that if such incidents happen in future, legal action can be taken. Jamiat-e-Ulema has said that this fashion show has hurt the religious sentiments of Muslims. If you are doing a fashion show then do it but do not target any one religion.
