Goa Dairy sacks employees over fake 10th class certificate
In response to a farmer’s complaint, Goa Dairy fired a female employee for using false documents to join the workforce. The employee, Neeta Naik, was a junior supervisor who allegedly started her employment in 2007 using a forged Class X certificate.
Confirming the termination, Goa Dairy MD Yogesh Rane said the action was taken by the administrative committee after the employee failed to submit his eligibility documents within the given time. According to sources, she joined Goa Dairy through the influence of one of the former directors on the board of Goa Dairy. Sources said she managed to remain in the service for the last 17 years and was also successful in getting promotion and was serving as a junior supervisor with Class X qualification.
Ramesh Edathdan, president of St. Andre Milk Society, welcomed the administrative committee’s decision to terminate the service of the employee who had joined the job with fake documents, saying that no one had dared to do so.
The action was taken despite the fact that she was close to a former director, but the government-appointed committee took the right step. He also demanded that full recovery of the payment should be made from him as he had wasted the money
