Gold necklace stolen, incident took place in Durga pandal

Korba: An incident of theft has come to light in the district. Here in MP Nagar Durga Pandal, a gold necklace went missing from the neck of a woman. It is being told that the woman was taking Prasad. Meanwhile, an unknown thief took away the necklace from her neck. As soon as information about the case was received, the police started investigating.

According to the information, the family of Nandani Sahu, resident of Podi Bahar, had come to MP Nagar Durga Pandal of Civil Line police station area to have darshan. While taking the prasad, the gold necklace went missing from the woman’s neck. There was a commotion on the spot after the incident. On receiving information about the matter, Civil Line police station and Kotwali police station in-charge Rupak Sharma reached the spot. Police took information about the incident from the spot. It is being told that the woman was wearing a gold necklace weighing two to two and a half tola. While taking the prasad, the necklace suddenly disappeared from the neck. After this the incident was informed to the Durga Utsav Committee and the police.
