Government announcement regarding LPG cylinder

LPG Cylinder: The Central Government has taken a big decision to provide relief to the people suffering from inflation. From which you can also get benefit. But there are terms and conditions for that. A grant of Rs 1,650 crore has been approved under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
The government has reduced the prices of LPG cylinders by a total of Rs 200 for 33 crore consumers. So under this Ujjwala scheme, customers will get Rs 400 per cylinder at a lower price. Let us know in detail how.
This scheme was launched by the Central Government in 2016. It has been started to free the poor women of the country from smoking. At present, a total of 10 crore families have joined this scheme. Note that currently a subsidy of Rs 200 is being given to the beneficiaries of Ujjwal. Thus, the total discount available on the scheme has become Rs 400 per cylinder.

Under the Ujjwala scheme, only the below poverty line (BPL) people are getting the benefit of cheap cylinders. To register under Ujjwala scheme, beneficiaries have to upload their ration card (BPL card). BPL card is available only for families below poverty line and in India this card is issued to those families whose annual income is less than Rs 27 thousand.
Know eligibility
Talking about the eligibility of this scheme, to apply for Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, the age of the woman should be 18 years. Before availing the scheme, note that the beneficiary family should not already have any other LPG connection from any gas agency. The benefit of this scheme is being given to the general poor, Scheduled Castes, Tribes and extremely backward families.
