Government bans Muslim League Jammu Kashmir (Masrat Alam faction)
New Delhi: Muslim League Jammu Kashmir (Masrat Alam faction) (MLJK-MA), which is involved in anti-national and separatist activities and supports terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir, was declared a banned organization on Wednesday.
Announcing the ban on MLJK-MA under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said the message from the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government is clear and unambiguous that those working against the unity, sovereignty and integrity of the nation. No person will be held guilty. Be spared and face the full wrath of the law.
“Muslim League Jammu Kashmir (Masrat Alam faction) has been declared an ‘unlawful association’ under UAPA. This organization and its members are involved in anti-national and separatist activities in Jammu and Kashmir, support terrorist activities and incite violence against people. To establish Islamic rule in Jammu and Kashmir,” he wrote on ‘X’.
