Government geared up to deal with heat diseases

Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has asked the health department to be prepared for prevention and management of heat-related diseases in the state during summer. Principal Secretary of Health Department, Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma has issued guidelines to all the District Magistrates and Chief Medical Officers. These guidelines outline the activities to be conducted by the Health Department with inter-departmental coordination. Additionally, they give guidance on what to do and what not to do during extreme heat waves

Efforts will be made to reduce indoor temperatures by implementing technologies such as cool or green roofs. Additionally, measures like installing shades on windows and open areas will also be taken.
