Jalandhar: Zambian involved in smuggling deported

Punjab: As part of the anti-narcotics campaign being run by the Kapurthala Police, a foreign national involved in drug trafficking was deported to his country after completing his sentence. Superintendent of Police Madhavi Sharma stated that the accused, Falan Onani Machila, a resident of Ndola, Zambia, was arrested. He was found involved in theft and drug trafficking cases.
After completing his sentence and following the legal process, the accused was deported to his country on January 6. Police further stated that as part of the government’s ongoing campaign against drugs, strict action against drug traffickers will continue. Police further stated that any foreign national found consuming or selling narcotics in the district will be prosecuted and deported to his country after the legal process is completed.
