Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan extends warm greetings on World Tribal Day
Raipur. Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan conveyed his heartfelt greetings to the entire tribal community and citizens of the state on the occasion of World Tribal Day, which is celebrated every year on August 9. In his message, he emphasized the significance of this day as a source of pride, celebrating the rich culture, cherished traditions, unique language, profound beliefs, and valuable thoughts of the tribals.
Recognizing the remarkable qualities of simplicity, authenticity, and selflessness among the tribal people, the Governor highlighted their deep-rooted connection with nature and active participation in environmental conservation efforts. Throughout history, their unwavering dedication to defending the country, with many making ultimate sacrifices, has been a testament to their courage and self-respect, he said.
Governor Shri Harichandan paid heartfelt tributes to numerous tribal revolutionaries, including Birsa Munda, Veer Narayan Singh, Veer Gundadhur, and Rani Durgavati. He acknowledged the invaluable contributions of the tribal community to the nation’s progress and development. He stated that the Central and State Governments are continuously striving to uplift the tribal population and promote their well-being.
