Governor Orders Adjournment of Assembly Session: Publication in Gazette

Tamil Nadu: Governor R.V. Orlekar has ordered the formal conclusion of the 8th session of the 16th Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. An official notification regarding this was published in the Government Gazette on Friday.

The session of the 16th Legislative Assembly in Tamil Nadu has now concluded. The first phase of the Assembly’s 8th session commenced on January 20 of this year with the Governor’s address and lasted for four days. Subsequently, during the second phase, the Interim Budget statement was presented on February 17, and this session continued until February 20. Finally, R.V.R. Orlekar—who assumed office as the Governor of Tamil Nadu—issued the order to conclude this session on Friday. This order by the Governor has been published in the Gazette in the form of an official notification.
