Shukla said, “Himachal Pradesh achieved full statehood on January 25, 1971 and since then it has also been moving towards development. I am hopeful that we will be successful in curbing drug abuse in Himachal Pradesh and move towards a TB-free India.” The Governor greeted the people of Himachal Pradesh on Republic Day and told the media, “I am confident that the youth of the state will contribute to the overall development of the state.” Speaking on the occasion, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that Jawaharlal Nehru’s program policies and dreams are taking India forward towards development. “I would like to congratulate the people of the country and the state on the occasion of the 75th Republic Day of India.

Our country is expanding and striving to become the new India that was dreamed of by the first Indian Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru. We are doing this by following their policies and projects. Chief Minister Sukhu said, “I would like to extend my best wishes to everyone on this important occasion.” Meanwhile, after the conclusion of the 75th Republic Day parade, Prime Minister Narendra Modi walked the ceremonial route of the Kartya Path and waved at the spectators who had joined the fascinating display of the country’s military might and its diverse culture. The audience started cheering and welcoming the Prime Minister warmly with applause and slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai.

After some time, the Prime Minister moved to the other side of the duty path and kept waving towards the spectators present in the enclosure. PM Modi, who is known for his sartorial choices, opted to wear a multicolored turban with yellow as the dominant colour. Sporting a beautiful Rajasthani Bandini print turban with a long tail, the PM wore a kurta pajama, which he teamed with a brown Nehru jacket. The entire look perfectly expresses his love for the nation and its religious beliefs and represents the ideology of unity in diversity. India celebrated its 75th Republic Day with a spectacular display of unity, culture and discipline by the Indian forces and participants marching on the path of duty.
