Grand opening of the fair linked to Fateh Yatra
Santoshgarh. The two-day Jod Mela started with Fateh Yatra at the historical Shri Guru Ravidas Temple located in Municipal Council Santoshgarh. This time the 18th Jod Mela was dedicated to Mata Kalasa. Fair Chairman Balwant Singh led the Jod Fair.
Specially, the head of Himachal Pradesh Sri Guru Ravidas Sadhu Sampradaya Society, Sant Ravinder Das, Sant Ram Kishan, Sant Gyananand Maharaj were present. Balveer Bagga, founder of Jod Mela, revolutionary former MLA Shingara Ram Sahungra’s son Kunwar Jagveer Singh Sidhu, Suresh Kumar, Abhinav etc. dignitaries were present. Before this, everyone along with the members of Santoshgarh Guru Ravidas Sabha paid obeisance at the local Guru Ravidas temple.
The yatra passed through Santoshgarh, Khanpur, Nangra, Jankaur, Una Headquarters, Bahdala, Mehtupar, Basdehra and Chhattarpur Tada and concluded at Santoshgarh Guru Ravidas Temple.
The young sangat expressed their happiness by riding on motorcycles and dancing to religious tunes played by the DJ while cheering for the Guru. Jod Mela Chairman Balwant Singh said that this time the Jod Mela has been dedicated to Guru Ravidas Maharaj’s mother Kalasa. The Shobha Yatra of the two-day fair has been started as Fateh Shobha Yatra.
