Gulshan Grover will be seen in the Hindi version of ‘Breaking Bad’
New Delhi (IANS). Bollywood’s original ‘Bad Man’ actor Gulshan Grover opened up about his desire to act in the Hindi remake of ‘Breaking Bad’ and how he finally got a part of it.
It is a crime drama produced by Vince Gilligan. The show focuses on the themes of antihero, power and integrity.
In a special promo of ‘Breaking Bad – Hindi’, Gulshan will be seen in the character of Hector Salamanca. Hector was played by Mark Margolis. The character is a former high-ranking member of the Juarez Cartel who is now unable to walk or speak due to a stroke. He talks with the help of a bell. Mark passed away recently, and Gulshan’s video is a tribute to the actor and the character.
Talking about the same, Gulshan said, “There are certain shows that are remembered and watched across generations. ‘Breaking Bad’ is one of them; it is a benchmark in TV shows and arguably till date Best TV show ever.”
The 67-year-old actor said, “When I first saw the show, I wished they would remake it in Hindi and I could also act in it. However, that didn’t happen when I heard that Zee Cafe would be releasing the show with Hindi dubbing. So I knew I have to be a part of it somehow. They approached me for this special promo and I had a great time shooting for it.”
In the promo, Gulshan is seen working hard for his character as he plays Hector Salamanca, a paralyzed man. He is seen ringing the bell.
Elaborating on the promo, he said, “It is a fun promo and I am sure the audience will enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it. I have adapted some of Walter White’s iconic lines. Well told in my own way and the fun experience has got me excited to watch this wonderful show all over again.”
Breaking Bad will premiere in Hindi on Zee Cafe from 28 August.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Gulshan will soon be seen in Tamil action film ‘Indian 2’ starring Kamal Haasan in the lead role, and Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Aggarwal and Siddharth in pivotal roles. It was directed by S. Shankar has done.
