Had to marry another girl, gave a horrific death to his girlfriend
Balrampur. In Balrampur, Chhattisgarh, a young man killed his girlfriend to marry another girl. The accused called his girlfriend to meet him and then crushed him with a car. After this he also married another girl. The police have arrested the accused bank employee in this case. According to the information, on November 19, the police found the body of a 23-year-old girl near Anvarajharia of Balrampur on Ambikapur-Garhwa main road. The girl was identified as Pooja Dewangan (23), resident of village Sapna of Gandhinagar area in Ambikapur. The postmortem report prima facie revealed that Pooja died in a road accident.
When the matter seemed suspicious, SP Dr. Lal Umed Singh ordered investigation. During investigation, it was revealed that Pooja was in a love affair with Ajit Pathak, working in Gramin Bank of Ramanujganj. Even on the day of the incident, she had gone to meet Ajit Pathak. On this the police called Ajit Pathak for questioning. Ajit Pathak told the police that Pooja had come to meet him. Both met in Balrampur. From there he took Pooja on the bike towards Anvarajharia. While returning, Pooja fell from the bike. He came to know about this after going much further. When he returned, he saw that there was a crowd on the road and Pooja’s dead body was lying there. He got scared by this and went away from there.
ASP Chandresh Singh Thakur said that after Ajit Pathak’s statement, he got the footage from the CC cameras installed near his house. It was revealed that before the incident, he had gone out in a black car and returned in the same. After this the police again summoned him for questioning and the matter came to light. During police interrogation, accused Ajit told that his marriage was fixed by his family members on 28th November. Pooja loved him and did not want to let Ajit get married. She was even stopping him from bringing it home. Due to this he ran over Pooja and killed her. After this he returned to see whether Pooja had died or not.
Pooja Dewangan’s body was found on the roadside. During interrogation, it was revealed that after seeing Pooja dead, Ajit along with another pickup driver took her body to the roadside. His car was also damaged due to the collision. He took it to Aurangabad and got the car repaired. After Pooja’s murder, accused Ajit got married on 28 November. Police came to know from the chat history and call history of the accused’s mobile that the accused himself had called Pooja. After the matter came to light, the police arrested the accused Ajit (30), resident of Yamunanagar Aurangabad, Bihar.
