Himachal: Akash will provide scholarships to the children of army personnel

Himachal Pradesh: Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL), the country’s leader in test preparation services, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Army. This will support the well-being of Army personnel and their families, including serving members, veterans, gallantry award winners, persons with disabilities, and families of those martyred in the line of duty. Under this MoU, AESL will provide benefits to children of Indian Army personnel who seek admission to its courses at any of its centers and branches across India. Colonel, Ceremonial and Welfare, Indian Army, and Dr. Yashpal, Chief Academic and Business Head, Delhi-NCR, AESL, signed the agreement. The agreement focuses on promoting the well-being of Indian Army personnel and their families, including providing scholarships for courses at AESL centers across the country. According to this MoU, children of army personnel martyred in the line of duty will receive a 100% fee waiver and will only have to pay the registration fee for admission.
Similarly, children of soldiers with more than 20% disability and gallantry award winners will receive a 100% tuition fee waiver, while children of serving and retired army personnel will receive a 20% tuition fee waiver, after deducting other scholarships. Chandrashekhar Garisa Reddy, MD and CEO of Aakash Educational Services Limited, said, “At AESL, we believe that education is the strongest foundation for a better future. By partnering with the Indian Army, we can honor the sacrifices of our brave soldiers and strengthen their families by providing them with quality education and guidance.” He said, “Through scholarships, mentoring, and counseling, our aim is to ensure that the children of our heroes are prepared to achieve their full potential and become leaders in their own right. During the MoU period, AESL will also provide complete mentoring and counseling support to the children of Indian Army personnel and answer academic and career-related queries through both virtual and physical platforms.” Reddy said that recently, AESL signed an MoU with the Central Reserve Police Force Family Welfare Association (CWA) to provide complete academic support, scholarships, and career guidance to the children and families of CRPF personnel.
