Harassment of female students: Head teacher beaten up.

Karnataka: On Friday, parents and villagers stormed a school in Belagundi village of the taluk and thrashed the headmaster, accusing him of harassing female students.

The students had complained to their parents that the headmaster was harassing them. An angry mob attacked the school on Friday and beat up the accused.

Upon receiving news of the incident, Belagavi rural police arrived at the scene and attempted to rescue the teacher and take him away. Protesting this, the students staged a sit-in in front of the police vehicle. The police dispersed the students and took the accused to the police station.

It is confirmed that the villagers beat up the head teacher. However, the police stated that no complaint has been filed.
