Haryana Steelers won 38-32 over Bengaluru Bulls in Pro Kabaddi League.
Bengaluru: Haryana Steelers produced a brilliant performance to register a 38-32 win over Bengaluru Bulls at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday.
According to a Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) press release, Vinay (8 points) and Siddharth Desai (7 points) were the stars for the Steelers as the Bulls suffered their fourth consecutive defeat this season.
Bharat launched a ‘Super Raid’ and removed Siddharth Desai, Mohit Nandal, Jaideep Dahiya, Rahul Sethpal and Mohit in the very first minute of the match and the Bulls took a 5-0 lead. However, Vinay scored some raid points and Jaideep Dahiya made a ‘super tackle’ on Bharat which helped the Steelers take the lead 8-6 in the 7th minute. Soon after, the Steelers went ‘all out’ and took a huge lead of 12-6.
The Steelers continued to put pressure on the Bulls and took complete control of the game at 15–7 in the 11th minute. As the Steelers progressed, Vinay continued to collect raid points. Siddharth Desai hit a double-point raid and helped his team get another ‘all out’ in the 18th minute. The Steelers led 26–13 at the break.
The Bulls tackled Vinay in the opening minutes of the second half, but in the 24th minute the Steelers still took a comfortable lead of 29-15. The home team was given ‘all out’ in the 31st minute, however, Haryana remained dominant with the score 31-24. The home team tried to make a comeback with efforts from defenders Saurabh Nandal and Partick, but the Steelers continued to score points. The Haryana team ensured that they remained in the lead for the rest of the game and eventually walked off the mat as winners of the match.
