Hearing test of 143 children, 21 hearing impaired children got free aid
Mahasamund: As per the instructions of Collector Prabhat Malik, the Health Department has so far provided free hearing aids to 21 hearing impaired children below 18 years of age under the National Deafness Prevention and Control Programme.
Till date, hearing test of 143 children has been done in Government Medical College Affiliated Hospital Mahasamund. Of these, 21 children in need of hearing aids have been supplied with hearing aids. For the successful operation of the said program, under the guidance of Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. P. Kudeshiya, Joint Director cum Chief Hospital Superintendent Dr. Basant Maheshwari and District Program Manager Neelu Ghritalhare, hearing tests of children are being done continuously and from time to time. Hearing aids are also being supplied.
