Heavy rain in paddy: Helpline number announced

Tamil Nadu: Emergency helplines have been set up to report the impact of heavy rains in Paddy.

The district administration has stated that for assistance related to rain damage, you can call the toll-free numbers 1077, 0462-2501070, and 9786566111.

Northeast monsoon rains have been lashing Nellai district for the past few days. The heavy rains have caused severe flooding in the Thamiravaruini River, disrupting normal life.

In addition, as a precautionary measure, two teams of the Tamil Nadu Disaster Response Force have been deployed in Thoothukudi district and one in Tirunelveli district for rescue and relief operations.

The State Emergency Operations Center in Nellai is continuously monitoring the situation.
