High tension wire fell in the field, death of farmer and cattle

Ambikapur. The farmer was plowing the field for planting paddy in village Jajga under Sitapur police station area of Surguja district. Meanwhile, the farmer along with the cattle died on the spot after coming under the grip of 11000 KV electric wire passing over the field. The angry villagers staged a chakkajam, after which the officers arrived and provided the immediate assistance. Let us inform that lakhs of rupees are spent in the name of maintenance by the Electricity Department in Surguja district. But the negligence of the Electricity Department was seen in village Jajga of Sitapur police station area, where the 11000 KV wire passing over the field fell on farmer Manju Khalkho and his cattle, who were plowing the field for paddy transplanting, due to which the farmer and the cattle died. Died on the spot. Enraged by the incident, hundreds of villagers blocked the road. At the same time, Sitapur Tehsildar reached the spot in a hurry and Rs 25,000 was given to the victim’s family as the immediate relief amount. Along with this, it has been said to give the compensation amount within 15 days. The deceased is survived by his wife besides four daughters. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the entire village due to this incident.
