Himachal: Experts discuss circular economy

Himachal Pradesh: Professor Himanshu Kumar Chaturvedi, Director of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS), Shimla, emphasized that sustainability has become the cornerstone of modern civilization. He stressed that long-term economic strength can only be achieved by maintaining harmony between development and the environment.
He was addressing participants at the three-day national seminar “Sustainability in Harmony: Driving a Circular Economy for Sustainable Development,” organized by IIAS in collaboration with the Department of Business Management, Saurashtra University, Rajkot (Gujarat). The inaugural session was chaired by Professor K.S. Chandrashekhar, Vice Chancellor, Cluster University, Jammu, who delivered the keynote address, highlighting the need to integrate economic development with environmental protection.
