Himachal: State level Haroli festival to be organized from 27 to 29 April
Himachal Pradesh: Chairing a review meeting of the organising committee at Haroli Sub Divisional Secretariat today, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said the state level Haroli Mahotsav would be held from April 27 to 29 at Kangar Ground in Haroli Assembly Constituency. The Deputy Commissioner said the three-day festival would commence with a colourful procession from Haroli Rest House to the venue. He said cultural troupes representing schools and colleges of Una district would perform during the day while troupes from different parts of the state would showcase the art, culture and heritage of their regions.
He said popular Punjabi and Hindi singers would also perform at the event. Besides, traditional sports, entertainment activities would also be part of the festival. The games to be organised include wrestling and kabaddi and hot air ballooning. He said to ensure maximum participation of locals, cattle fair, dog show and baby show would also be organised besides stalls showcasing development schemes of various departments and local products by farmers, self-help groups and micro enterprises. Committees and sub-committees have been formed to ensure proper administration and coordination.
