Hina Khan on inviting ‘Country of the Blind’ from Oscar library, says ‘It feels surreal’
Mumbai. Actress Hina Khan’s film ‘Country of the Blind’ has now been invited by the Oscar Library to become part of the permanent collection at the Library of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.
The film tells a story about the ‘blind’ and his life. It is directed by Rahat Shah Kazmi.
Hina said, “Our team has worked really hard on this film, and there is nothing better than getting recognition on such a large scale. People in America have loved the story we told through ‘Country of the Blind’. Our screenplay is being invited by the Oscar Library of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, it all seems surreal.”
The actress said, “I hope we achieve even greater heights with our film, because the story is a complete experience that people will get a chance to live.”
Shah Kazmi shared, “I am delighted that the vision I had for this film is being appreciated so widely. ‘Country of the Blind’ is being accepted by audiences in the US and its script To now be invited by the Academy’s Library of Motion Pictures is a great accomplishment for our entire team.”
He said, “I can only hope that we get everything that this film deserves, because everything about ‘Country of the Blind’ is beautiful, from the story to the way it was filmed.”
