History-sheeter throws petrol bomb at temple in Paris

Chennai: Tension prevailed in Chennai’s Paris Corner on Friday when a history-sheeter threw a Molotov cocktail (petrol bomb) at a temple. The police arrested him immediately after the incident.

The accused, identified as Muralikrishnan, said police said he had several cases pending against him, Daily Thanthi reported.

The report said that the accused, in an intoxicated state, cursed God and said that nothing good had happened in his life and threw the petrol bomb inside the temple. Shocked by this, the temple priest, devotees and people present nearby extinguished the fire.

Police have registered the case and are investigating the incident.
