Hockey India Junior and Sub-Junior Academy National will start from Monday
New Delhi: Top young talents from across the country will showcase their skills in the inaugural Hockey India Junior and Sub-Junior Men’s Academy Championship 2023 (Zone B) to be played in Kovilpatti, Tamil Nadu from November 20 to 30. ,
12 teams will participate in the junior category – Tamil Nadu Hockey Academy, Berar Hockey Academy (Vidarbha), Amaravati, Republican Sports Club, Thirumalavalavan Hockey Academy, Hubli Hockey Academy, R.V. Academy of Hockey, Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High-Performance. Centre, Cuddalore Hockey Academy, Ashwini Sports Academy, SAIL Hockey Academy, Smart Hockey Academy Raipur, SDT Hockey Nilgiri Academy.
Eight teams will participate in the sub junior championship – Tamil Nadu Hockey Academy, Gangpur Sports Academy, Lakshmi Ammal Sports Academy, Thirumalavalavan Hockey Academy, Smart Hockey Academy Raipur, Ashwini Sports Academy, SAIL Hockey Academy, Cuddalore Hockey Academy.
The teams participating in the 1st Hockey India Junior and Sub-Junior Men’s Academy Championship 2023 (Zone B) will be divided into two groups (A and B), and the top two teams from each group in both the Junior and Sub-Junior Men’s Will be divided. The categories will secure places in the respective semi-finals of the championship to be held on 29 November. The winners of the semi-finals will meet in the final on 30 November, while the losing teams will play a third-place match on the same day. Day.
In the group stage, teams will get three points for a win, while a draw will get one point. In the event of a tie at the end of scheduled time, a shoot-out will decide the winner, adding an extra layer of excitement to the classification matches.
