Hockey India Junior: Odisha Naval Tata and HAR Academy winners

Karnal: Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High Performance Centre emerged as the junior champions in Zone A and Zone B of the 3rd Hockey India Junior and Sub-Junior Women’s Academy Championship 2025 in Karnal, Haryana, while HAR Hockey Academy (Amritsar) won the sub-junior title.

In the junior final, Odisha Naval Tata Academy defeated RoundGlass Punjab Hockey Club Academy 2-0, with goals from Draupadi Naik (18′) and Neharika Toppo (43′) securing the victory.

In the sub-junior final, HAR Hockey Academy defeated Khalsa Hockey Academy (Amritsar) 6-0. Captain Radhika (7′, 25′, 53′) led from the start with a hat-trick, Anjali (41′, 60′) added two goals, and Vanshika (33′) added one. In the third-place match in the junior category, Ghumanhera Risers Academy defeated Jai Bharat Hockey Academy 3-0 in a shootout to win the bronze medal. The two teams were tied 1-1 at full time, with goals from Shashi Kumari (18′) for Ghumanhera and Sushma (53′) for Jai Bharat equalizing. Deepika and Pooja scored in the shootout to seal the victory.

In the sub-junior bronze medal match, Pritam Siwach Hockey Academy from Sonipat defeated Khalsa Sports Hockey Academy from Kolkata 6-0. Avni (15′, 35′) scored two goals, while Nancy Saroha (13′), Chanchal (47′), Aarti (53′), and Mouki (54′) added one each.
