HPCL plans to invest around Rs 2,300 crore in CBG plants

Business Business: India’s leading petroleum retailer Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd (HPCL) aims to invest about Rs 2,300 crore ($231.04 million) to set up 24 compressed biogas (CBG) plants in the next two to three years, a company official said on Friday.The Indian government has implemented a policy to blend CBG in automobile and cooking gas up to 1% from April, and aims to increase it to 5% by 2028-29.
