Husband and mother-in-law harassing woman for 5 lakhs, police registered case
Ambikapur. On the report of a woman resident of Salka in Bhatgaon area, the police have registered a case of dowry harassment against her husband and mother-in-law. Police said that Alka Gupta filed a case that she was married to Madhushudan Gupta, 27, on May 18, 2019, at village Jamdi Shiv Mandir.
After marriage, husband Madhushudan Gupta and mother-in-law Urmila Gupta harass her mentally and physically by demanding five lakh rupees in dowry. They say that after selling the farm land from your father, bring 5 lakh rupees in dowry from your maternal home, only then you will be kept. The woman says that she told those people that my parents do not have that much money and farm-land. I have three more sisters left for marriage, will not be able to arrange so much money.
