Husband beats wife for dowry, throws her out of the house
Bharatpur: Husband beats up his wife and throws her out of the house after seven years of marriage, demanding Rs 2 lakh in dowry. The victim has now filed a case of dowry harassment against her husband and his family at Bayana Kotwali police station through Court Istgasa. Earlier, the wife had also filed a case of assault against her husband in Rudawal police station. Radha (30), daughter of Ram Prasad Gurjar, resident of village Nagla Dewasarai of Bayana police station area, informed in the report that she was married to Vishvendra alias Monu Gurjar, resident of Mahamadpura (Rudawal) on 17 February 2016.
Radha told that her father had given cash and gifts in the marriage, but her husband Vishvendra, father-in-law Ballaram, mother-in-law Mithlesh and sister-in-law Rajkumari were not satisfied with it. Within a few days of the marriage, her in-laws started harassing her demanding Rs 2 lakh as dowry. Radha told that in order to save public honor and family, she silently tolerated their atrocities. To meet the family expenses, he also worked as a mat in MNREGA. Meanwhile, her three children were born, but the atrocities of her husband and in-laws did not decrease. In February 2023, Radha also got her husband Rs 50 thousand from her brother. On September 27, 2023, husband Vishvendra beat Radha and threw her out of the house, demanding Rs 2 lakh in dowry. In this regard, Radha also lodged a case of assault at Rudawal police station. SI Ramdin Sharma told that first both the parties will be made to sit together and get counseling done.
