Husband who shot at wife arrested
Raipur. There was firing late in the evening near Gol Chowk of the capital. Giving information about the case, DD Nagar police station in-charge said that a lawyer opened fire on his wife near Gol Chowk gas warehouse. Husband opened fire on his wife in DD Nagar police station area. The accused husband opened fire with a licensed pistol. After this he fled from the spot. Accused Subhankar Nandi is a lawyer by profession. The incident is being reported on Friday afternoon. The woman was shot in the hand. The husband shot the wife. It is being told that the accused husband opened fire on his wife over a domestic dispute. This matter is of DD Nagar police station area. The police is investigating the case. According to the information received, accused Shubhankar Nandi is a lawyer by profession. The wife has been admitted to the hospital in critical condition. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and are engaged in investigation. The accused is absconding after committing the incident and the police is searching for him.
During interrogation, Kakoli Nandi told that her husband Shubhankar Nandi, suspecting her, abused her and said that he will kill you by leaving today and kept the pistol with him with the intention of killing her and fired a shot at her due to which her right wrist and left arm were severed. On getting injured, he has been admitted to the hospital for treatment, that on the report of the applicant, crime number 524/23 section 307 IPC has been registered against the accused in police station DD Nagar. And the offense under Arms Act was registered. Under the direction of senior officers, the joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and DD Nagar police station, by making detailed inquiries of the applicant, the victim and the surrounding people regarding the incident, located the accused and resolved the matter within a few hours of the incident. Accused Subhankar Nandi was arrested and action was taken against the accused by seizing 1 pistol, 4 live cartridges and 2 empty cartridges used in the incident.
