Hyderabad: Many youngsters in Hyderabad are reportedly falling prey to a new dating scam that is leaving them with exorbitant bills. In this scam, attractive girls ask men to meet at pre-decided places and then give them no choice but to pay five-digit bills.
Modus of the new dating scam in Hyderabad
The girls involved in this scam find young men on dating apps and then ask them to meet at a pre-decided pub in Hyderabad. During the meeting, the girls talk sweetly and order a lot of food. According to details shared on social media by a social activist, a man met a girl on a dating app. Later, the girl asked him to meet her. During the first meeting, the girl took him to a famous pub in Hyderabad. Once at the pub, the girl ordered expensive drinks, which made the bill go up to over Rs 4,000.

In the new dating scam in Hyderabad, another man who paid Rs 16,000 has a similar story to tell. He also met a girl on a dating app and decided to meet her at the Hitech metro station. Later, she took him to a club where he ordered expensive drinks, resulting in a bill of over Rs 16,000. With such incidents coming to light, it is expected that many other victims of fraud may also come forward to share their ordeal. Though the bill amount is high, it is not clear if the club owners are also involved in the scam.
