Hyundai sold more than 5L BlueLink connected cars in India in 4 years

New Delhi: Hyundai Motor India on Friday said sales of its BlueLink connected cars have seen significant growth as it has sold over five lakh connected vehicles in just four years. Connected car attractiveness has increased from 5 percent in 2019 to 30 percent in 2023.

“BlueLink has witnessed a significant growth in penetration among Hyundai customers, reflecting the growing preference for vehicles equipped with advanced connectivity features,” Hyundai Motor India MD and CEO Unsoo Kim said in a statement.

“This significant growth is a testament to the deep confidence customers have shown in BlueLink technology providing seamless connectivity for all journeys,” he said.

BlueLink is a connected car platform that enables easy flow of important information between the car and the car owner.

Launched in 2019 in India, BlueLink is an AI-based technology with an inbuilt SIM card and 24×7 call center that enhances safety, security and convenience.

The platform is designed to perform over 60 connected functions, including proactive alerts, SOS/emergency assistance, auto-crash notification, trip history, remote vehicle status, VR, value-added services and more.

Last month, Hyundai launched the ‘Samarth’ initiative to create awareness and enablement of people with disabilities in India.

This initiative is in line with Hyundai’s global vision of ‘Progress for Humanity’ which aims to enable an inclusive, progressive world through the power of mobility.

Through this initiative, Hyundai aims to help create a more aware and sensitive society towards people with disabilities in India.
