IIT awards 6 school teachers for promoting science subjects

Tamil Nadu: IIT Madras has honored six outstanding school teachers at the national level for laying a strong foundation in math and science for engineering studies.
This award, the second edition of IIT Madras’s Principal Policy Faculty Awards, was formally presented by its Director, V. Kamakoti.
This award recognizes teachers who inspire school students to learn physics, chemistry, and math and foster a strong understanding of fundamental principles.
This year, six teachers received the award, including physics teacher Aseshananand Acharya from Bangalore, chemistry and math teachers C. Chittibabu and Samuthirak Vijaykumar from Tirupati, chemistry teacher Kapil Prithare from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and math teacher from Kota, Rajasthan.
Kamakoti said that IIT Madras is giving this award to teachers for their positive impact. Dean (Departments) Pratap Haridas and others spoke at the event.
