In Hanumangarh, a man stabbed his wife to death

Abohar: A man slashed his wife’s neck with a sharp weapon while she was fast asleep. The accused has been identified as Ramesh Kumar, a resident of Hanumangarh. SHO Satpal Bishnoi said the victim has been identified as Ekta. He said the victim’s body was lying on a cot in the courtyard of the house. He said the body has been sent to Hanumangarh Civil Hospital for post-mortem.

Complainant Mohan Lal Soni said Ramesh had come to live in a rented house in Sureshia Mohalla with his family eight months ago. He said the couple’s children sleeping nearby did not hear Ekta’s screams. Police said Ramesh suspected his wife’s character, so he killed her. Ramesh reached the police station around 5 am and confessed his crime.
