In Saharanpur, some people entered a woman’s house and slit her throat
UP: A group of men barged into the house of a 21-year-old woman and allegedly killed her by slitting her throat in a village here on Wednesday morning, police said in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
SSP Vipin Tada said that the victim was sleeping with her family members in her house in Chalakpur village of Chilkana area, when at around 4 in the morning some people gathered outside her house and started calling her name.
After the woman’s mother opened the door, a group of 4-5 people entered the house and started searching for the victim. Once they found her, they allegedly slit her throat with a sharp weapon, Tada said.
He said that the accused also threatened to kill the family members of the deceased if they raised any noise.
The SSP said that after the group left the house, the woman’s family took her to the primary health center where doctors declared her brought dead.
Police said that the police are investigating the matter and his family has also been questioned. He told that the father of the deceased had died a year ago and she lived with her mother, brother, sister-in-law and nephew.
