Inauguration of Jagannath Rath Yatra festival

The chariot was worshiped and offered to Thakurji in the company of Mahamandaleshwar Sita Ram Das. Traditional stick, megha dumar, hand fan etc. are adorning the chariot in the chariot. Women were walking in front of the chariot carrying urns on their heads in the procession. Rath Yatra started from Jai Singh Shyam Temple and reached the temple premises again via Ramdev Temple, Badi Pol, Peepli Pol, Ramdwara, Bhilwara Road, Bus Stand, Laxmi Bazar, Ganesh Chowk, Holithan. Where the Yajna was completed and the Maha Aarti took place. Saint Mumukshu Ram Ramdwara, Saint Ramdas outside the arena, hundreds of people of the city including the enlightened people of the city were present in the Rath Yatra.
According to tradition, the Lord’s chariot is pulled by hand in the Rath Yatra starting from Jagannath Puri. According to this tradition, the deity of the Lord was seated in the chariot in the Rath Yatra that took place for the first time in the city. Then the chariot was pulled by the hands of the devotees. In this Rath Yatra, which started for the first time, there was a competition among the townspeople to pull the chariot. Every devotee who came on the journey served Thakurji by pulling his chariot with his own hands. The entire route in the Rath Yatra resounded with the praise of God. The townspeople welcomed the Rath Yatra by showering flowers at various places.
