Income Tax Department raids 40 locations in Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu: Income Tax officials raided more than 40 locations in Tamil Nadu on Friday, targeting textile companies.

The raids are being conducted at the offices, branches, and homes of owners of major textile companies headquartered in Trichy. It is being reported that these raids were conducted based on complaints of tax evasion, unaccounted income, and exchange irregularities. Income Tax Department officials have been divided into teams and are conducting raids in several cities, including Chennai, Trichy, Karur, and Coimbatore.

Income Tax Department sources stated that important documents and digital data were examined during the raids, and official information will be released only after the raids are fully completed.
