Income Tax Department started raid on two dozen locations
Deoghar: Income Tax Department has started raids at two dozen locations in Deoghar and Godda districts of Jharkhand from Monday morning. The people whose places are being raided are involved in the business of land, real estate, hospital, hotel etc. Some of them have also invested in the liquor business.
IT teams from Patna and Dhanbad reached different locations of former Deoghar mayor Rajnarayan alias Bablu Khawade, JMM leader Nand Kishore Das, contractor Mukesh Bajaj, land businessman Brijesh Rai, real estate businessman Sanjay Malviya and many others and conducted simultaneous raids. Are busy.
It is being told that in the interrogation of Yogendra Tiwari, who was arrested by ED in the liquor scam, which has been going on for the last ten days, important information about illegal and undeclared investments has come to light and its inputs have also been received by the IT Department.
Income Tax has also come to know that there has been manipulation in paying stamp duty in the purchase and sale of land in Deoghar.
Sources said that IT teams are engaged in the search operation at three locations of Deoghar land businessman Brijesh Rai in Jasidih – Siyaram Hospital, Saint Francis Hospital Gali and Simaria residence.
Similarly, raids are also going on at Hrithik Raj Hotel of former mayor of Deoghar Corporation Rajnarayan Khawade alias Bablu Khawade, Anjula Mansion of Sanjay Malviya and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader Nandkishore Das.
Apart from this, apart from 10 locations associated with Balanand Ashram in Kolkata, simultaneous raids are also going on in Balanand Trust’s Cancer Hospital in Durgapur.
