Independent candidate warns of half-naked protest in Raipur Collectorate, don’t know why

Raipur. Rs 10 coins have stopped circulating in the capital Raipur, even though they are legal coins and are in circulation at many places. This matter once again came to light when an independent leader came to buy nomination forms to contest the elections. The independent candidate arrived with 1,000 coins of Rs 10 each i.e. Rs 10,000 and the election officials refused to accept the coins.

In fact, Rs 10 coins issued by the Reserve Bank are being openly rejected in the Raipur Collectorate. Not only this, the situation is such that in the capital Raipur, no auto vendor, tea stall or shopkeeper takes Rs 10 coins,

whereas in other cities adjoining Raipur, Rs 10 coins are being circulated indiscriminately. It is not that the district administration does not have information regarding the matter.

Despite this, the limit was reached when independent candidate Shankar Lal Varandani reached the Collectorate to collect the nomination form with 1000 coins of Rs 10 each and the election officials returned the candidate saying that Rs 10 coins are not acceptable. What happened next? On hearing this, the leaders who had come to file their nominations with coins were stunned.

At the same time, election officials say that only Rs 10 coins up to Rs 1,000 will be taken at a time. Despite this, independent leaders are adamant that they will give only 1000 coins worth Rs. The candidate said that he wants to become the voice of the poor by contesting the elections. Coins have been taken only from the poor.

The poor have coins but they are not in circulation, whereas in other places these coins are in circulation. They will protest until the elections do not take these coins. They say that today is the third day, let’s just see today and then they will protest half naked in front of the elections.
