India alliance’s strategy will help in defeating BJP: Akhilesh Yadav

Noida (IANS). Samajwadi Party chief and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday said the strategy the Indian National Development Inclusive Alliance (India) is planning will help defeat the BJP in next year’s Lok Sabha elections.

He said, “The strategy of India Alliance is going in the right direction and I am fully hopeful that the people of India will remove the BJP from power in the next general elections.”

He said that people have decided to remove BJP from power, especially in Uttar Pradesh.

Akhilesh said that despite vigorous campaigning by the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, BJP lost the Ghosi by-election by 50,000 votes.

To a question about AAP taking on Congress in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, the Samajwadi Party chief said, “We (India alliance) will find a way.”

He said that all the parties which are against each other (in the states) want to defeat the BJP.

Akhilesh Yadav said, “Samajwadi Party will also help in defeating BJP in Madhya Pradesh. Our party will work towards defeating BJP.”
