Indian stock market is falling today
Indian Stock Market: Today, on the second day of Diwali, there is gloom in the Indian stock market. The domestic stock market started with a decline and Nifty went below 19500. Investors made big purchases during Diwali Muhurta trading last night and the market closed well. Today, there is buying in the shares of pharmaceutical companies, which is providing some support to the market. In today’s trading, BSE Sensex opened down by about 275 points at 64,984. NSE’s Nifty opened 74 points down at 119,451.
How did the market open in pre-opening?
The markets opened with a decline today in the trading session of Vikram Samvat 2080. BSE Sensex opened 275 points or 0.42 per cent down at 64,984. While NSE’s Nifty opened at 19,486.75, up 38.80 points or 0.20 percent.
Bank Nifty also declined
A decline is also being seen in Bank Nifty today and most of the bank shares of Nifty are trading in the red mark of decline. Bank Nifty fell 0.40 per cent by 181 points to 43,815.

Out of 50 Nifty stocks, only 11 are showing gains and 39 of them are trading with losses. Among its top gainers, Eicher Motors was trading up 2.17 percent, Coal India up 1.51 percent, NTPC up 1.21 percent and Hindalco up 0.91 percent. A strength of 0.42 percent is being seen in BPCL.

Today, out of 30 Sensex stocks, only 5 stocks have a green bullish mark, while the remaining 25 stocks are in decline. Top Sensex gainers were NTPC up 1.53 per cent, Power Grid up 0.59 per cent, IndusInd Bank up 0.49 per cent, Sun Pharma up 0.17 per cent and HCL Tech up 0.01 per cent.

The biggest falling stocks in Sensex include Bajaj Finance 1.14 percent, Asian Paints 0.78 percent, HUL 0.68 percent, Infosys 0.71 percent, ICICI Bank 0.66 percent. Nestle shares fell 0.65 percent. Apart from this, shares of Reliance Industries, SBI, Bajaj Finserv, TCS and Kotak Mahindra Bank are weak.
