Indore: A man has been arrested for illegally possessing country liquor worth ₹40,000.

Madhya Pradesh: The state Excise Department arrested a man and seized illicit liquor worth ₹40,000 being transported illegally on a scooter.
According to Assistant Excise Commissioner Abhishek Tiwari, the department took action following a tip-off in the Bhavani Nagar area. A team from the Excise Department, including Flying Squad In-charge Kamlesh Solanki and ADEO C.K. Sahu of the Bhoi Mohalla Circle, raided the specified location and recovered over 66 bulk liters of illicit country liquor. The accused was identified as Arjun Singh, a resident of Bhavani Nagar, and was arrested on the spot. A case has been registered against him under Sections 34(1) and 34(2) of the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915. Since the offense is non-bailable, the accused was produced before the court and sent to judicial custody on the court’s order.
Officials stated that the total value of the seized liquor is approximately ₹40,000. The investigation revealed that the accused is a habitual offender and has several previous cases registered against him for the illegal transportation, storage, and sale of liquor.
