Indore: Court fee refund for Lok Adalat settlements made easier.

Madhya Pradesh: Parties resolving their disputes through Lok Adalats (people’s courts) will no longer have to make repeated visits to government offices to claim their court fee refunds.

The implementation of a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for court fee refunds by the Madhya Pradesh State Legal Services Authority has made the process simpler, more transparent, and time-bound. Advocate Gopal Kacholiya, former president of the Indore Bar Association, stated on Monday that the State Legal Services Authority has issued the SOP to all District Legal Services Authorities across Madhya Pradesh.

Kacholiya said, “This SOP has benefited many beneficiaries in the recently held Lok Adalat, and the process has become much easier.”
