Information about launching Nothing Phone 2A in India this week
British electronics brand Nothing teased that “something is coming this week” via a new X (formerly Twitter) post on its official handle. It is speculated that this rumor is a hint towards the launch of the Nothing Phone 2A. Additionally, a recent listing of a Nothing phone with a yet-to-be-announced A142 model number was also spotted, further strengthening the speculation.
Additionally, the latest Nothing phone was spotted on the regulatory database in India – Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
We don’t know much about the specs of the Phone 2a so far other than the fact that it has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display panel is believed to have a punch-hole design and house a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The upcoming mid-range smartphone will feature dual cameras on the back with a 50-megapixel primary sensor. It will also have Nothing’s signature glyph interface rear panel. The handset is expected to run on NothingOS 2.5 based on Android 14.
The naming suggests that the Phone 2A will be a more affordable device than the Nothing Phone (2). The Nothing Phone (2) was launched in July this year with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB of on-board storage, with a starting price of Rs 44,999. Since the launch of the Nothing phone is likely to take place this week, we can expect to hear more details soon.
Meanwhile, the Nothing Phone 2 has received a permanent price cut in India. Now the retail price of Phone 2 has come down to Rs 39,999.
