‘Injustice and arbitrary rule of BJP’: TMC took to the streets in Nadia for Mahua
Trinamool Congress took to the streets of Nadia on Saturday to launch a movement on the issue of expelling Krishnanagar MP Mohua Moitra from the Lok Sabha.
While the party plans to address the issue across the state in the coming days, the agitation was launched from Moitra’s parliamentary constituency Krishnanagar in Nadia on Saturday.
They organized several demonstrations in Krishnanagar and Trinamool leaders put forward their differences in protest against Moitra being expelled from the consultancy in connection with the money dispute.
“But it is not only a question related to Krishnanagar village that chose Mahua Moitra. Rather, it is an issue against the injustice and arbitrary rule of the BJP”, said Trinamool’s Chhapra MLA Rukbanur Rahman.
The party is from Moitra Lok Sabha constituency of Chapra assembly constituency and had gained a lead of around 49,000 votes in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. On Saturday, around 3,000 party participants marched through Srinagar. Even the hen condemns her expulsion.
