International Vallalar Conference in Chennai tomorrow: CM to give awards

Tamil Nadu: The Hindu Religious and Endowments Department’s International Vallalar Conference-2026 will be held on Sunday at a school campus in Kilpauk, Chennai. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will inaugurate the completed construction of the Vallalar International Centre in Vadalur and present awards to the commemorators.
Minister P.K. Sekharbabu issued a statement on Friday:
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced that October 5, Vallalar’s birth anniversary, will be celebrated as a special day. A grand celebration of Vallalar was organized at a cost of ₹3.25 crore. In addition, work is underway to build the Vallalar International Centre in Vadalur at a cost of ₹100 crore and to renovate Marudhur House, where Vallalar lived, at a cost of ₹3.50 crore. To further enhance Vallalar’s fame, an International Vallalar Conference will be held on Sunday, February 15th, at the Ekambaranatha Temple Grounds on the Poonamallee Highway in Kilpauk, Chennai. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will attend the conference, inaugurate the completed construction of the Vadalur Vallalar International Centre, and present awards to Sunmarks.
Prior to this, the program will begin at 6 a.m. with the lighting of lamps and the hoisting of flags at the conference pavilion, followed by a rally to spread Vallalar’s philosophy and teachings. Various programs are also expected.
